Who
At any given time there may be one to twenty individuals involved with different projects undertaken by the company.
The company is owned by Stephen L. Burt who started it when he realized that he didn't know everything and needed answers.
You could have the engineer (pick a discipline), the computer geek, the doctor, the artist, perhaps even the Indian Chief working on your problem as it flows around the table.
In many ways we are a think tank but we work to an interdisciplinary model to get the best solution that is available.
What
We will look at any problem we are asked to and sometimes even offer to create a solution if we see a problem that is interesting.
To that end we have also acted to create a number of start-up companies and use our process to incubate them.
If you look at problems as presents then you will have Christmas every day, we like doing the unwrapping.
Why
This is the hard part since it goes beyond money and into the area of personal reward.
We are doomed to repeat history if we don't learn from it and so often don't realize that the history might only be as old as yesterday.
We are not invested in your personal ownership of the problem and so can bring a completely fresh perspective to the situation, we will not always agree.
The trick is to think about it, and that we do.
